One leading cloud validation provider, SecureIQLab, revealed the third version of Web Application Firewall (WAF 3.0) testing. The updated version of its WAF will include API security test cases. In WAF 3.0, market-leading security solutions will be tested to determine whether they can cope with today's complex cyber threat landscape. Security vendors can rely on SecureIQLab to test their WAF and API solutions objectively and transparently, identifying potential vulnerabilities in the technology and validating their claims.
"As products evolve and novel technologies are brought to market, it's absolutely essential that security solutions are validated for companies to have confidence that they are receiving the security performance promised to them by vendors," said Randy Abrams, a senior security analyst at SecureIQLab.
There has been an explosion of cloud infrastructure adoption in recent years, and the trend is only expected to continue. Together with the complexity of cyber threats, this growth necessitates the development of advanced security infrastructures. WAF and API security are crucial in protecting enterprises from security incidents and data breaches caused by web applications.
A wide variety of vendors will participate in the WAF 3.0 testing process, ranging from industry leaders to new market entrants evaluating their solutions.
