For a long time, only the user knows information has been used as a common authentication step. Unfortunately, relying solely on this move can be risky, as this information is the most vulnerable to hacking. Users not only reuse common passwords regularly, but they also use information that hackers can easily obtain from social media accounts and public records. In this category, there are three different types of identifiers:

This approach makes use of a physical asset or information that has been sent to the user directly. As long as users do not react to phishing attempts by hackers who can catch the details, this next-level identifier is an effective way to prove identity. The next stage of identification, which includes biometric data, necessitates something you are. Most of these factors are difficult to forge or reproduce, requiring a technical leap in identity verification: Fingerprints, facial recognition, retina scanning, voice recognition, and signature.
Identification Through Location and Time
This factor, also known as adaptive authentication, is the most advanced and recent form of authentication, integrating place, time, and actions. This aspect includes calculating a risk level using AI and GPS to pinpoint a user's position or expected activities.
